Wow. I didn't realize what wikis were. I've used wikipedia, but that's about it. I thing they could be the most beneficical to my special education students for the collaborative notetaking. I think this could help all students.
I would have some concerns for my students using wikis as sources for research. They are too open and there is no control. What if their information isn't correct?

we don't allow any student to use a wiki for research. This is useful for collaboration with the students among other things.
